# 1 Working title Films
I would recommend reading blog titled " working title films" dated 13th August
This blog looks at the "working title" website and gives a detail analysis of the layout, links and navigating patterns. I found this tute intresting and therefore think this blog should sum up that lesson.
# 2 HTML/ CSS
This blog looks at the program "textwrangler", I foudn this program confusing at 1st but after a 2 hour tute on it, it became clear that writing HTML is easy. I gave a little explaination in the blog but its straight to the point.
# 3 Datavisualisation
This blog is continual over a few weeks as I chose to do it for my 2nd assessment, datavisualisation is a way of showing data using graphs, charts and images. I discussed ideas about my assessment, even had a link to google maps.
Final:
Keeping a blog of each week has become useful and helpful. I have been able to look at the to recall ideas and help me study of the quiz, its the same as writing in a book but i have never used a blog before and i think its more helpful and a way for the future!

ASSESSMENT #2
Rationale: I used powerpoint to display my data and google docs ( spreadsheets and word docs) to collect and graph my infomation. I gathered infomation about my average week, music, travel time and countries ive visited it. I used hyperlinks and links to webistes in the presentation. Datavisualisation makes it easier to view lots of infomation in an eye catchy way! I collected data about myself and then compared some of the data with infomation found on websites and other media sources, the conclusions draw from this infomation make it clear that advertising and other makreting plans work and I, as a Web user are attracted to.
Datavisualisation
Data visualization is the study of the visual representation of data, defined as information which has been abstracted in some schematic form, including attributes or variables for the units of information. Just continued with my assessment on datavisualisation, which included gathering more infomation about myself and the put into grapgs and tables!

HTML/CSS
In the lecture we learnt about HTML and CSS, in class this week we used a program called "text wrangler" to write a website, this piticular website was on icecream sandwiches. We had to use codes and patterns such as <>, {}, =, etc to write, we used color codes to color the page and font, etc. Hugly interesting and next week will look deeper into HTML.

Assessment Rationale
Olympic Hockey 2008
Target Market:
Hockey fans, people interested in following how the Australian Hockey Teams ( Hockeyroos and Kookaburras) went during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Navigation:
Tumblr includes links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. This is not unlike any other blog site but I just found it simpler.
Video: linked videos from youtube to tumblr hockey blogsite
Quotes: included a motivational quote from Hockey Australia website
Photos: All photos are from the 2008 Beijing Olympic website
Process:
While researching Australian hockey results, I found that I couldn't find all the information in one place, my blog allows for this, it has details on all the preliminary round along with videos, photos and details on semi-finals and ranking results.
Layout:
Tumblr: There were many layouts to choose from but I went with the basic top-to-bottom scroll down layout, it gives flow to my web page as my blog is an ongoing feed with frequent updates. I went with a basic theme of only a few colors as not to distract the reader from the information.
Extras:
Major problem: I wanted my information in reverse chronological order, this problem was easily overcome by going into advanced setting and changing that dates on all my posts so that preliminary results were read first and semi-final results were last.

Blogger
I came across Blogger on my search for a basic web log for my Network Media class, Blogger seemed very user friendly and a good starting point to further expand over the rest of the semester....
